Super GT 2018 Season

Next weekend the 2018 Super GT will start. This year the championship will have some of the best drivers in the world in the grid such as Jenson Button, Felix Rosenqvist or Kamui Kobayashi. For the first time in more than 10 years Suzuka won't have an endurance race as the Suzuka 1000km changed to Suzuka 10h for GT3 cars. Instead Suzuka will host a 300km race. The cars remain the same. This year we will have 14 in GT500.

The calendar consists of :

- Okayama 7th 8th April 
- Fuji 3rd 4th May
- Suzuka 19th 20th May
- Thailand 30th June 1st July
- Fuji 4th 5th August
- Sugo 15th 16th September
- Autopolis 20th 21st October
- Motegi 10th 11th November


The official tests this year were pretty interesting and seems like we will see a close fight in the first round next weekend. The last day of testing in Fuji saw 13 GT500s in less than a second.
In GT300 races will be even more fought as always.
